Each time we hear the word POWER, our ears prepare to hear what that power does. So we expect to hear ''Power to..." Power to do this and that.
Dictionary.com has this to say: Power as a noun | 1. | ability to do or act; capability of doing or accomplishing something. |
| 2. | great or marked ability to do or act; strength; might; force. |
We can say then that power gives the ability to do something - something we cannot do by ourselves; would you call it ENABLEMENT? Jesus says this in Luke 10:19:
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Your power from Jesus, the bible teaches is over SERPENTS, SCORPIONS and ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY. Three very dangerous things which are subdued under your control because Jesus says so! It adds that you are immune, because nothing shall hurt you. Spend some time in prayer pondering over these. May abundant blessing be over you. |
