Do you have priestly Privileges?

Numbers 12: 1-5, 9-10

 1Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married (for he had married a (A)Cushite woman);

2(B)and they said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us as well?" And the LORD heard it.

3(Now the man Moses was (C)very humble, more than any man who was on the face of the earth.)

4Suddenly the LORD said to Moses and Aaron and to Miriam, "You three come out to the tent of meeting." So the three of them came out.

5(D)Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the doorway of the tent, and He called Aaron and Miriam. When they had both come forward,

9So the anger of the LORD burned against them and (K)He departed.

10But when the cloud had withdrawn from over the tent, behold, (L)Miriam was leprous, as (M)white as snow. As Aaron turned toward Miriam, behold, she was leprous.

In verses 6-8 the Lord spoke angrily to them.  Notice how the Lord went up after speaking!  He left unceremoniusly.  Many questions come to mind.  Two people offend, why is one severely punished and the other untouched?

Perhaps it is because one was a priest.  Do priests have special "go-arounds", privileges?  I do not know.  Speak to God (pray), who knows, you may have the same exemptions.

1 Peter 2:9
But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Old fashioned?  Not Really.  That is where the ability to do and to be dwells!

Have these thoughts in your mind as you pray.

2Chron 16: 9

9"For (H)the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those (I)whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this.

Isaiah 49:16
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.

Jeremiah 31:3
The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.

Isaiah 43:4
Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life.

Ps 34:6

6This poor man cried, and (K)the LORD heard him
And saved him out of all his troubles.

John 3:16

16"For God so (A)loved the world, that He (B)gave His (C)only begotten Son, that whoever (D)believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Bless you

IMPOSSIBLES MADE POSSIBLE PDF Print E-mail

Abram and Isaac and parts of Jacob's life interest me a lot.

Abram was too old to be reproductive, his wife was diagnosed unfruitful.  Isaac's wife was unreproductive.  Jacob was a very smart guy; but he loved a lady and worked so hard to pay off the lobola (dowry).  But this lady joined the line of biblical people who were unfruitful.  No doubt she was among the most beautiful of her time.  But beauty does not avert unfruitfulness.

He maketh rich PDF Print E-mail

Scriptures and every part of it is recorded to make this Christian life livable  (2 Pet 1:3) and not without coordinates (as in a GPS system) so that as Christians we cannot enter into situations we will refer to as 'uncharted waters'.  Brethren, I am talking with regards to faith, "without which it is impossible to please God" (Heb 11:16).  His instruction and dealing with Abraham is the same as with Isaac - as long as Isaac can refer to Him as "God of my father Abraham" (Gen 26: 18-24).  This is mainly because He is the God who shows no partiality (Deut 10:17), and there is no shadow of turning with Him (Num 23:19). Again scripture says " For I the Lord I do not change ...(Mal 3:6).

What God has done for Johnny, He will do the same for Betsy!

2 Tim 3:16 reveals that " All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work".

We are well aware of the scriptures, where there were issues with the payment of taxes, scripture quotes:

Matt 17:27
"Then the sons are exempt," Jesus said to him. "But so that we may not offend them, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours."

I believe that this is not only a lesson about paying taxes, neither is it about being subvervient to the king and his tax collectors and abiding by the statutes of the land.  I will tell you what else there is in the story to note.

This fish was the first hooked out.  The Master knew it had a piece of money in the mouth.  The Master knows where the wealth of this earth is hiding!!  Even when it is found in inconceivable areas such as the sea.

You do remember the widow whose oil vat could not but just ooze out oil?  She said "Your maidservant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil."  ( 2 Kings 4:2).  You do remember how by following the instruction of the prophet, she was able to have enough of the same oil for sale to pay off all her debt and she and her sons were able to live on the rest? (2 Kings 4:7).

How would a widow be able to make ends meet except to depend on the word of God spoken through His prophet?  It is He, the Lord, who gives us the ability to produce wealth!

Deut  8:17 -18

17 You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." 18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

Again I say, it is scriptural  if yours is in the way of expecting to be prosperous; do not shun this word as we have in modern times come to.  God can make us properous, even exceedingly prosperous.  What do you think about this? Search the scriptures, how men of God were blessed in wealth.

Gen 30:43:  So the man became exceedingly prosperous, and had large flocks and female and male servants and camels and donkeys

Gen 13:2 :  2Now Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver and in gold.

Gen 24:35:    35"The LORD has greatly blessed my master, so that he has become rich; and He has given him flocks and herds, and silver and gold, and servants and maids, and camels and donkeys.

Make no mistake, some find it holier to desire poverty, but I think also that it is not a taboo to know that our God makes rich.

It is my prayer that as you read this piece, the Spirit of the Lord will bring glory to the Father in the name of Jesus and you will seek the ways which God opened to your father Abraham, but which the ways of the world have made impossible for you to tap into.  You will again dig the wells of your father Abraham and obtain water beyond measure to provide for your flock.

  1. Genesis 26:15
Now all the wells which his father's servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines stopped up by filling them with earth.
  2. Genesis 26:18
Then Isaac dug again the wells of water which had been dug in the days of his father Abraham, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham; and he gave them the same names which his father had given them.

River of Life PDF Print E-mail

You may be needing a miracle.  Well, unless the Lord does it, it is not a miracle.  No man does miracles.  His word establishes and safeguards all His miracles.

Do you remember the river of life?  Read Rev 22:1
[ And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.]

See the wonderful things that happen concerning this river:

Ezekiel 47:9  :        Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.

Could it be the same river which flows as a consequence of believing faith?  John 7:  38
"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'"

You could be a candidate today for a miracle from God, only believe.
